    Default Food Basics and Metro

Ya I was shocked when I made it to the cash and they told me they would not accept my french coupons. I knew in advance about the printed ones because I was denied once before and I believe I read it posted at customer service. Even after I said we live in a dual speaking country and almost every product in thsi store has french on one side they still refused any french coupons....

You should definately email any company whose printed coupons you were trying to use to tell them. I'd had some luck with that. They have sent me some regular coupons!

It's unfortunate that they don't accept printed coupons but with all the fraud that happens with printed coupons it's not a surprise.

Hmm, I find many stores nowadays do not accept internet coupons, it's just so easy to make fake ones. I generally don't use internet (printable) coupons at all.

I constantly email stores with questions. I also have printed all the places that accept internet coupons and am mailing them to the ones who don't! LOL I did that with Metro and they did not change the policy but sent a nice letter to me and $10 in gift cards..........

I get very angry when stores don't take my french coupons. They are just as valid as english coupons and we live in a dual language country! I've never had anybody flat out refuse a coupon because it was in french but sometimes they linger over it longer and you can tell they are contemplating to take it or not and even that annoys me. I didn't take 8 years of French in school for nothing (I had no choice because I went to public school).
