Default News on Yahoo Canada loyalty cards and Shopper's Drug Mart is #1 read the article

I always read the news and was interested to read this particular artical in which it details all the loyalty card programs out today for consumers. It also has a breakdown of points you get for shopping and using the cards etc... Shopper's Drug Mart came out on top and to most this is no surprise!

Wow, I am pretty surprised PC Points didn't make that list! I guess because it's not really a free loyalty card, but still! Shopper's Optimum is my favourite! I wish I would have realized how great it is a LONG time ago!

I agree, PC Points are fantastic. I put everything I can on my card, although it's not really a loyalty card.

I've never gotten into PC points, although I probably should as I shop at Fortino's a lot.

But you cannot beat Optimum points. Even since they have changed the values and redemption levels, it's still the best rewards program. Especially for couponers!

The customer must enter the number of their card online or present the card at the store to receive a discount. Not every item is discounted every day. The seller (you) can use the information to make decisions about your business. You can reward customers who buy more than $1,000 in products per year. You have their personal information so you are able to contact them by mail or email or phone.
This gives you much more "direct" information than just analyzing what items are selling at your store.
All you need are laminated cards with numbers on them. You have to issue them one-by-one since you need the personal information.
