What are you reading? Share your book suggestions.
I'm hoping that this can be a place that we discuss books that we are currently reading, or books that we loved and can suggest for others on here.
I'm currently reading "The Reader" by Bernard Schlink. I'm about half way through, and it's a pretty good story. However, I've seen the movie, so I already know the basic idea of how it's going to go.
I am 28 years old, and really just started reading the last year. I think before that the last novel I read was in high school. I found most of the high school novels to be so horrible (and strange), that it sort of turned me off of reading. My friends were raving about the Twilight Series, so I started reading the first one, and then quickly read all the others within a month. I was hooked!
So far I think my absolute favorite book has been Slumdog Millionaire (formally published as Q & A ) by Vikas Swarup. The movie wasn't nearly as good in my opinion (and quite different).
I did really like the Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer, and the Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls also tops my list of favorites.
I seem to be on a book to movie kick. LOL
What has your favorites been?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I read the Twilight Saga, then I went on to the True Blood Novels. I also picked up the Lightworld/Darkworld series by Jennifer Armintrout, which consisted of Queene of Light, Child of Darkness and Veil of Shadows. I really enjoyed those ones.
I just finished up the Darkyn series by Lynn Viehl which has 7 books: If Angels Burn, Private Demon, Dark Need, Night Lost, Evermore, Twilight Fall and Stay the Night. Those were great and I was sad to see it end, but there is another series she is working on that goes with it . It's called the Kyndred series, so far there is one book released (which I am currenlty reading) called Shadowlight.
When Chapters had their B3G1 on paperbacks I grabbed another series of 3 to read after I finish Shadowlight (can't rmember what they are called right now)

I read My Sisters Keeper, and although it was a great book, think I actually prefer the movie. Usually it's the other way around.

I watched the Shutter Island movie, and I LOVED it. Actually I've watched it twice, and plan on buying it when it comes out. I think I have it all solved, and then the end happens and I'm not sure. Ugghh! It bugs me! You know it's good when weeks later you are still pondering it.
Was the book good? I may have to pick it up.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I just picked up The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. I've heard about it for years, but one of my co-workers finally talked me into reading it. Hopefully I'll get to start it by the weekend.

The Wealthy Barber is an amazing financial book. I read it in my early 20s and I think everyone should be forced to read it! lol It would save Gail Vas Oxlade a lot of headache
